The Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) of Meme Division in the troubled South West Region has said God Almighty will punish all those who have a hand in the killing of school children in Kumba.
Chamberlin Ntou’ou Ndong was reacting to allegations made by some diaspora-based separatist leaders and propagandists, indicating that the administrator ordered for the killing of the school kids.
US-based separatist leader, Eric Tataw, noted for ordering the killing of persons across the two restive regions had in a live Facebook displayed a supposed screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation said to be between the SDO and an security commander in which the former ordered the latter to execute his orders to kill students.
The said screenshot conversation went viral across social media platforms. Many Cameroonians were fast to detect it was false chat created with aid of modern communication tools.
The SDO has followed suit, clearing his name from the alleged chat making rounds on the social media.
“I am trying to read what people are saying to the social media that the SDO has a communication with I don’t know who...all those allegations are completely fake,” Ntou’ou Ndong said while praying that God to punish all those trying to play games over the blood of innocent children.
“…if you are joking with the blood of innocent children, even Almighty God is going to punish you in one way or the other. They cannot joke with the truth, with the lives of innocent children. I know that they want to hide their crimes, telling lies, fake messages, fake things, we are not concerned by that,” the administrator stated.
He reiterated his resolve and that of collaborators to arrest all perpetrators of the atrocities in the Division. “…they can trust me, they can say what they want. I will not relent any effort to arrest all of them,” he vowed.
“The administration will continue to follow them until all of them have been arrested. You know some people are feeling very happy to blackmail their own villages, their own country…even when you dig deeper it looks like they don’t know what they are doing,” he observed.
“…the populations are there and they know the truth and they know that they have confidence to the administration and they know that the administration is permanently on their side, taking care of them and they will continue to send back their children to school,” he said.
The SDO challenged all those in the diaspora abetting separatist atrocities back home and contributing to the destruction of their own hometowns to desist from such acts and rather join in the rebuilding the Division.
“Let me try to advise those who are there abroad, texting fake messages, talking rubbish, when they are safe with their own children that they are the ones committing crimes here in Meme Division,” he said, adding that the Division expects them to bring in money to rebuild the town and not “to send guns, cartridges, to give tramadol, and give missions to innocent children to come and kill students in various schools”.
