The Minister of Secondary Education has lauded the quality of education offered at Complex Scolaire Bilingue Le Miel, COSBIM in Ntui, Mbam and Kim division of the Centre region.

Prof Nalova Lyonga made the observations while during a visit to the school campus. The visit Monday September 6, 2021 was on the sidelines of the launching ceremony of the 2021/2022 school year. The secondary education boss who was equally marveled by the state-of-the-art infrastructure put on campus to ensure a good learning environment for students and pupils equally hailed the school authorities for their assistance to internally displaced school going children living in the Division.
The minister and her delegation were accompanied in a guided tour to the campus by the young and dynamic proprietor, Mingo Pius.

The minister encouraged management and teaching staff as well as students of COSBIM as well as prescribed discipline and duty consciousness which she said are ingredients of success.“This is a huge contribution towards endowing our communities with modern and equipped schools. I’m happy with what I’ve seen here because any school today without a correct science laboratory building, without a workshop is not useful to the people,” Nalova said.
To the Secondary Education boss: “we need to have a new attitude towards education; that’s to say the whole community has to work to bring the schools within their villages to a very high standard”
COSBIM in just three years of existence has stood tall in terms of its results and discipline. The complex which went operational during the 2018/2019 academic year operates a pre-nursery, nursery, primary and secondary schools for both Anglophone and Francophone sections.
Minister Nalova salutes COSBIM officiials for assistance to IDPs
In the 2021 session of the General Certificate of Education, GCE, COSBIM scored a 100% at the Advanced Level and 92% at the Ordinary Level.“Our results in certificate examinations during the last three years that we have been operating range from 80-100% and this is a strong pointer to the quality education and high level discipline that exist in our complex” the complex’s proprietor said.
He further stated that: “We are starting this academic year with an enrolment of 670 students and we hope to get more students enrolled since this is just the first day of the new school year. We have a professional and dynamic team of teachers in place who more than ever before a ready to nurture the children for even better results” Mingo said.
Mingo who doubles as President of Bambalang Youth Association said Complex Scolaire Bilingue Le Miel is the second education establishment he is setting up in the country. In his vision of boosting school attendance in his native Bambalang, Ngoketunjia division of the North West region, Mingo set up and created Mikellins Bilingual Comprehensive High School Bambalang but the armed conflict in the region which caused the closure of several schools in the region, forced him to take the initiative to Ntui.
Why choice of Ntui for location of COSBIM
Mingo Pius told The Guardian Post that he discovered several families displaced by the armed conflict in the North West and South West regions, some from his native Bambalang had taken up refuge in Ntui and couldn’t afford the means for their children to continue with their studies.
“I discovered that so many internally displaced had relocated to Ntui and they were in a mess. Some of them after my visit to the locality told me they couldn’t continue because of lack of means; so I decided to create the school”.
He said as means of encouraging the IDPs, the school has offered them a 20% fee reduction. “As at the start of this new school year, we have 120 students and 89 pupils who are IDPs enrolled into COSBIM”.
