The paramount ruler of the Bafaw, Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko, has donated didactic materials to orphans to in Kumba in Meme division to enable them prepare for the start of the 2022/2023 school.

The items comprising books, school bags, pens, pencils among others were shared to some ten orphanages in Kumba August 30. The traditional ruler used the visit to the orphanages to commune with the children. He used the occasion to underscore the importance of hard work, indicating that they too can become great tomorrow if they take education seriously. He reminded them not to give up because they always have the palace they can look up to. The traditional ruler urged the children to take their studies seriously. He told them that the only way for them to also be great tomorrow is through hard work.
While praying with the children, the Nfon called on the various heads of the orphanages not to relent on their divine assignment which God has called them to do. He saluted their bravery in caring for the orphans amidst the economic hardship and rise in prices of commodities.
At the various stops, the heads of the orphanages appreciated the paramount ruler for thinking of the orphans and for putting smiles on their faces within the back-to-school period. The leader of Ma Ndi Orphanage, Ndi Comfort, prayed God to reward the Nfon for the gesture made at her orphanage, noting that acts of goodwill keeps them encouraged to continue taking care of the kids.
She said as mother of one, she keeps being encouraged by her son to continue assisting other children.
Pastor Sone of Hope Center Orphanage said his children were very happy with the gifts and visit of the Nfon in person to their humble home.
He said the children he is taking care of will be able to easily resume classes with the gifts from the Nfon.
Other orphanages that benefited the gifts included Azi Orphange, Clephic, Franktel and Pro Labore. All the owners took turns to pray God to bless the Nfon and the royal family.
It should be recalled, at the start of the last academic year, the Nfon donated gifts to over 1,000 across the town.
Worth noting is the fact that apart from donating didactic materials to underprivileged children, the Nfon has been offering assistance ranging from food, cloths amongst others to the needy.
