Public Health: Minister Manaouda Promises Stable Reproductive Health, Nutrition For All

Public Health Minister Dr. Manaouda Malachie has disclosed that his ministry will continue to intensify efforts to ensure a stable reproductive health and nutrition for all Cameroonians.

He made the promise in Yaounde Tuesday 16 Febriuary 2021 during ceremony to renew a ten year agreement with the Cameroon Association for Family Welfare (CAMNAFAW). 

The renewed accord will enable government through the ministry of public health play its role in financing reproductive health and nutrition nationwide. 

“The term of the partnership is to reinforce our actions in the field through our global fund programme, our clinic services, and nutrition is one of the aspects that we will bring out in this partnership and we are going to put our efforts together with the Minister to push this partnership,” said the Executive Director, Ejengele Loti.

CAMNAFAW was created in 1987 to respond to the needs of women who wanted to plan their families and to enjoy higher standards of living. The organization has rapidly grown into the country’s leading provider of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. 

It has also been at the fore, championing maternal and neonatal health among women living with HIV for the past ten years.
