Heads of public services and users in the far North Region have been schooled on the advantages that come with the digital transformation of the sector.
This was during a working session Minister Joseph Anderson LE of Public Service and Administrative Reforms had with stakeholders including administrative officials in Maroua.
This session aimed at presenting recent digital innovations adopted within the ministry to the stakeholders in the region, see how to accompany public service users in the region to benefit from the ministry’s innovations as well as evaluate their knowledge of recent online services.
“We have now many services online but it seems like people don’t always know what is been done. That’s is why we thought it is not good just to stay in Yaounde and implement. It is good to come on the field and discuss with them to know if they understand what is done and if they know what is supposed to be done,” LE explained.
Minister LE in the course of the session presented benefits of the reforms to the service which he described as a golden opportunity especially during the context marked by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He highlighted that the new measures will help curb over transportation and expenditure of those seeking to get public services in the Yaounde especially as most of the services will delivered in the regions.
The tour ended with a visit to some public structures in Maroua where he encourage personnel to be at the service to the people, be duty conscious and shun vices that mar the good name of the public service sector.
