Cameroon Illegal breach of contract: FECAFOOT To Pay FCFA 390 Million As Damages To Former Lion’s Coach

Officials of Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) have been given 30 days to pay the sum of 316.000 Euros roughly FCFA 397 million to former coaches of the Indomitable Lions. The decision was taken by World Football governing body, FIFA.
The sum to be paid to Clarence Clyde Seedorf and Patrick Kluivert according to FIFA is compensation for breach of contract. The sum will have 5% of interest on it if not paid as from 29 May 2021 according to the FIFA decision.

The duo were fired by Sports and Physical Education Minister, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi in August 2019 after their poor outing in the 2019 AFCON in Egypt. Their claim of illegal breach of contract was found admissible by FIFA.

They said their contract was abused and their sacking was insultive. Clarence Seedorf will be entitled to a sum of FCFA 206 Million and his deputy, Patrick Kluivert FCFA191 Million.
