Cameroon, Kribi: Student Cheats Death After Attempts To Flee With Stolen School Funds

An 18-year-old student is said to be undergoing investigations after surviving death in the hands of fellow students in a college in Lycee Technique et Scientific”, Sangmelima in the South Region.

He was severely beaten by his peers and teachers as he attempted to flee the school campus after attempts to steal funds from the school.

The student of is said to have surrendered the school bursar with a machete, threatening to take away her life if she doesn’t surrender all the money that was in her keeping.

The bursar is said to her braved the odds and raised an alarm. Alerted students on campus and other teachers are said to have followed the student until he was caught while struggling to leave the school campus.

The student was severely beaten by the students. He is seen with swollen face, tron uniform with blood oozing from some parts of his body from wounds sustained in the cause of the beating as seen in video of the incident which went viral on the social media.

The student was later whisked to the police station by uniform officers who stormed the school campus. Investigations are said to have been opened to ascertain the reasons behind his actions.

The student is said to have appeared before the disciplinary council of the said college weeks back for allegedly introducing drugs on the school campus.
