Cameroon: Gov’t Schools Public Service Users On Innovations, Devolved Services

Civil servants and public service users in the North West Region have been told to visit the North West Regional Delegation of the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, MINFOPRA, to abreast themselves with devolved services of the ministry.
These services the minister said includes certification of career documents and online examinations. Minister Joseph Anderson LE was speaking in Bamenda Tuesday 23 March 2021 during a working visit to the region.

He said the new moves taken by the ministry will reduce the long and unnecessary trips that were hitherto made by users to Yaounde to get some of these services. He assured public services users that such services will henceforth be provided to all and sundry in the regions. He explained the new move falls within the ministry’s way of reducing stress that civil servants undergo to get such services in Yaounde.

“The first is going to our Regional Delegation here in Bamenda or use the internet and visit all our social media and our website and have all responses needed for their documents,” LE said, adding that such measures will help ensure discipline at work and rack down unscrupulous individuals to dupe colleagues and stay away from work.

“Many of them don’t go to work. They don’t stay in their post of duty. That’s why in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, we want to tell them that they must come and work”.

He used the working session to also disclose other services offered by the ministry to the North West population including the organization of orals of competitive entrance examinations into the public service via video conferencing and the installation of softwares to ease access to information regarding the functioning of the ministry.
