Insecurity in Yde: Eleven Suspected Bandits Nabbed, One Flees To Unknown

Some eleven armed individuals suspected to be behind recent cases of car theft and household items in the nation’s political capital have been apprehended. The suspects were arrested by elements of the criminal investigation unit of the judicial police department in Yaounde. 
The men of the underworld were presented to the public by the security elements. 
Investigations leading to their arrest follows complaints filed in by victims. The gang leader and ten of his accomplices were arrested. Items found in their hideout included 11 arms, war and hunting ammunitions, 11 luxurious vehicles, 27 matriculation number plates as revealed by the head of the operation. 

“They proceed by identifying the victims. They follow the activities of those victims who they attack and exercise violence on them in order to extort their property,” said Police Commissioner Ntoh Denis, Sub Director of Criminal Investigation at the Judicial Police Department.

Among the victims was a Member of Parliament who used the opportunity to thank the security elements for their wonderful job in tracking down the culprits to recover his stolen items forcefully taken from him by the bandits as he return home. The uniform officers used the opportunity to enjoin locals to report all cases of suspected individuals in their neighborhoods.
