Anglophone crisis: GCE Examiner Shot Dead In Kumba By Alleged Amba Fighters

Panic has gripped teachers and students of Government Bilingual High School (GBHS) Kumba and the entire Meme division following the brutal shooting to death of one of a renowned teacher whose name we got as Fuh Max.
The physics teacher who doubles as a GCE examiner was shot pulled out of his house and shot dead by gunmen suspected to be separatist fighters at his Up Station residence in Kumba in front of his own kids. The incident occurred Thursday 1 July 2021. Up station is the administrative headquarters of Kumba with several security barracks. 

The assailants are said to have stormed his residence demanding his whereabouts from the kids. Not knowing the persons were gunmen, the kids are said to have called out their father who was unfortunately shot dead in front of them. Aside GBHS Kumba, the deceased is said to have thought in several other colleges. 

Secondary Education officials and administrative authorities are still to make a statement on the incident which occurred barely days after the start of the written phase of the GCE exams nationwide. 

Kumba has been a separatist hotspot since the crisis in the North West and South West regions morphed into a full-fledged armed conflict. Kidnap of teachers, students and brutal killing of some has been rife in the Division. 
Kumba over the years has played host to students and pupils from neigbouring Divisions during official exams. The town also host thousands internally displaced persons from nearly villages, Divisions and other areas.
