Customer Centricity, Change Management: CAMTEL Officially Launches New Revolutionary Commercial Brand, BLUE

Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL, has officially launched a revolutionary commercial brand dubbed BLUE. The new commercial brand is expected to serve as CAMTEL’s new vehicle that carries its fixed mobile and transport aspirations.
BLUE was officially launched Thursday August 19 at the CAMTEL Head office in Yaoundé. Speaking during the launching, the General Manager, Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi, revealed that the name of the new brand reflects the values of the corporation, its roots, achievements, history and the challenges global competition.
“BLUE is all about new standards. BLUE is digital, smart and simply. Digital because it is all about internet, smart because of its content and simply because it is easy to use and access. BLUE is the brand that strives to make a difference,” Judith Achidi said.

She further explained that BLUE is a complementary brand to CAMTEL. She clarified that CAMTEL remains the corporate brand while BLUE is revolutionary and would gradually absorbed all CAMTEL services which will have to comply with the digital, smart and simple tripartite.

Judith Yah Sunday said the BLUE brand is a personification of CAMTEL’s Customer Centricity and Change Management vision which aims at putting customers as the centre of all the corporation’s actions. She revealed that the new brand is for all existing CAMTEL customers and eventually new customers.
“All those who are connected to the world, be it at home, office or on the move. It is all about BLUE,” she said noting that BLUE can be found across the national territory,” the GM said.
Presenting the brand to reporters Saturday August 21 in a video projection during, Stéphane Edimo, Marketing and Communication Director at CAMTEL disclosed that brand will boost the incumbent telecom operator’s fix, mobile and transport services.

“This is a historic turning point for the lone Telecom Company, provider of providers in Cameroon. It is a new vehicle that carries the new aspirations of CAMTEL for the satisfaction of its clients,” Edimo.

The rebranding is the crux of its NExT (New Experience in Telecom) strategy that aims at achieving an All-In-One web portal that will offer CAMTEL customers unified access to all its services. Edimo said BLUE is the digital-approach-solution to respond to worries of Cameroonians expecting much from the corporation in the ever-innovative digital world.

“BLUE is wireless, no installations, high speed, unlimited downloads, fast and easy recharge…BLUE is meant for your smartphones, but it is also meant for your office space and home, all in one package,” Edimo explained to reporters, adding that the brand will help reposition the company in Cameroon and beyond.

Edimo said the brand is peculiar because it offers access to digital services as many other companies are presently doing, but it will go a long way as to provide digital contents from varied sectors to its customers.

The first product to be launched in no distant time under the new brand, Edimo revealed would be named “BLUE HOME“. Edimo said the new product would help households relate in the digital world with quality services at their convenience and at little or no cost.
