The revelation was made by the Japanese Ambassador to Cameroon, Osawa Tsutomu at the Star Building Friday 22 January 2021 during an audience with the Prime Minister, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute.

The diplomat said his government is preparing to sign three contracts with Cameroon by March 2021 towards helping her to reconstruct quality health centres, water points and schools in the region.

“We had excellent discussion on the cooperation between japan and Cameroon especially the project in the South West region,” he said.

Aside projects to rebuild social amenities, the Ambassador said his government is also considering two other projects including the suspension of Cameroon’s debts repayment within the framework of the G20 debt service initiative and that to improve the TV production equipment pool of the Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV. Osawa and Dion used the audience to review bilateral ties between both nations.
