Installation ceremony: NW Regional Council President Urges Population To Remain Hopeful

By Doh Bertrand Nua
The President of the North West Regional council has called on the population to adopt positive mindsets, stop fighting over the past and rather start building for the future.
NW Regional Council President
Prof Fru Angwafo III was speaking during his installation and that of other members of the Regional Assembly in Bamenda Friday 22 January 2021 by North West Governor, Adolphe Lele LAfrique.

“We don’t need to be fighting the past but building the future…for our region to shine, we should not look at what animated the past but should focus on what will reshape our region in the future,” he said, adding that “a positive mind in everything, finds gold in refuse”.

The 66-year-old Urologist described the installation as a start of a new North West region that would provide solutions to its own problems and not look up to the central government in Yaounde. He challenged the population to federate forces behind the assembly for the development of the region.

Governor Lele use the ceremony to call on the team to revitalize the economic situation of the region, bring back the region to what it was before 2016. He described them as the right persons chosen to handle the problems of the region.
