PM Prescribes Unity Among Stakeholders In Urban Road Works

The long delays suffered by major road projects in urban centres as a result of the contractors transferring water, electricity, telecom and gas installations have come under the attention of the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute. 

This was the focus of discussions during the 24th session of the National Road Board that held Tuesday 19 January 2021 via videoconferencing. Speaking while chairing the session, Dion Ngute regretted that many projects in the country have suffered from problems pose by networks and poor maturation. 

He challenged stakeholders to react promptly and efficiently on the problems as well as called for better collaboration and respect of texts governing installation of networks in order to speed up the projects and give facelifts the country’s urban centres. 

In his interventions during the session, the Permanent Secretary of the National Road Board, Antoinne Essomba revealed that many track texts have been formulated in various ministries to improve the process. 

Ministers concern with the management of water, energy an urban development used the session the present efforts being made at the different ministerial departments to the PM towards addressing the problems of delays among others.
