Doh Bertrand Nua: Promising Young Print Journalist

Doh Bertrand Nua is a Journalist with penchant for investigative journalism. The certified fact-checker who currently serves as Coordinating Editor of authoritative bi-weekly newspaper, The Median, hails from Santa Sub-division, Mezam Division of the Northwest Region. 
Though born in Baligham, Doh, who, doubles as the Centre, South and East regional correspondent of renowned Douala-based Balafon Media Group, has spent a greater part of his life in Bamenda where he completed basic education and Kumba where he did secondary and high school studies. 
Doh’s journalism story started in 2013 when he got admission into the University of Buea’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, JMC, and graduated with distinction as Best Student in 2016.

While still in training, Doh started professional voluntary service at the sports desk of the Christian Broadcasting Service (CBS) Radio in 2015, same time he held post of Sports/News Producer at the University teaching radio, Chariot FM. His mastery of sports got part-time job same year at the Word Empowerment Radio, Buea as sports presenter. 
After graduation, the JMC alumnus immediately embarked on his career at the Lake Site Radio, Kumba. From there, he moved to Bamenda as one of the pioneer broadcasters at the newly created Mediafrique Radio. 
He and others successfully implanted the baby radio within the Bamenda media landscape before returning to Kumba to continue with The Median Newspaper as reporter in 2017, a position he held in 2016 before heading to Bamenda. 

While in Kumba as Bureau Chief of The Median, Doh also picked a broadcast job with Ocean City Radio. He equally had a stint with Limbe-based The Info newspaper, Kumba-based The Scoop media group as stringer. 

He also had a stint with Equinoxe TV/Radio as well as put in three years as office assistant at the Meme branch of 
The young journalist with slightly over six years experience was appointed Coordinating Editor of The Median after four successfully years as reporter and Kumba Bureau Chief based on unmatched output to the growth of the paper in January 2019. 
Aside his job at The Median and Balafon, Doh who is also a researcher has contributed to many other newspapers, magazines and online publications in Cameroon. He is also founder and editor of the one of the fastest growing online publications in Cameroon, Cameroon Express Info. 

The former Secretary General of the Association of Student Journalists in the University of Buea (ASJUB), current Public Relations Officer of the Cameroon Community Media Network, Yaounde Chapter and member of the Yaounde chapter of the Cameroon Association of English-speaking Journalists, CAMASEJ has made hard work, dedication, integrity and passion his hallmark within the slippery media landscape.
