Some new personnel have been added into the Pentecostal Advocates for Socio Economic Development, PENASED, to reinforce the staff strength of the organisation. The structure which works towards the improvement of humanity, did therecruitment months after a call for application had been put online.
"Every organisation works based on results and it is the case with PENASED. We recruited a number of persons with the competence we are looking for. As such it was important for us to restructure the organization," explained Wato Joseph, Executive Director of the not-for-profit organisation.
"What motivated me to choose working for PENASED is to start the Christian view in bringing solutions to human being problems in a multicultural country like ours, Cameroun. Then, my motivation to work for social justice, a good social health, education and human rights. At PENASED, the four pillars are concerned with that," stated Kegoum Ketchstang Paul, newly recruited volunteer who will occupy the position of Programmes Assistant.
On his part, the newly appointed Administrative Assistant, Anwi Denise notes that as a follower of PENASED since 2019, he has: “watched them change lives of young cameroonians who are underprivileged. Also, I was motivated by their four pillars, maternal and child wellbeing, career orientation, entrepreneurship and social Inclusion which guides them in serving humanity".
The new assistant account and finance officer, Nda Marius pledges the entire team will federate forces to deliver what is expected of them. "Humanity is considering others as yourself, so working with PENASED enables me to put my own contribution to help others. I might not have that chance to hold somebody's hand to show love to him/her, but my knowledge and experience, through PENASED permit me to touch that person in need. It's a type of collaboration to assist and help those that are not privileged in our society".
As the second half of the year continues to unfold, PENASED proceeds with their activities to serve humanity as the Executive Director says. "PENASED works mostly with the underprivileged and vulnerable population. We have trained one hundred underprivileged children from 5 regions of the country in photography and we plan to go back on the field to train more. This time we plan to work with eight regions, targeting pigmies, mbororos, albinos amongst other minorities/underprivileged children. In each of these regions, twenty children will be selected and trained. We equally have activities geared towards health, involving malaria and HIV/AIDS amongst others geared towards the improvement of humanity". With the new team at the organisation it is hoped that more lives will be touched through their humanitarian activities.
