Promoting Unity, Peace, Progress: Mubako Community Cultural, Sports Competitions To End 19 December In Yaounde

The closing ceremony of the 2020 cultural and sports season of sons and daughters of the four Mubako villages resident in Yaounde, under the banner of Bali Chamba Cultural and Development Association, BACHACDA, has been scheduled for 19 December 2020. 
BACHACDA cultural manifestions prior to football games 
The finals of the competition was announced by BACHACDA President, Dela Ronald Gabba. The finalists of the competition will be determined this weekend after semifinal matches in both handball and football. It will feature cultural manifestations from all four villages. 
Overview of pitch during games 
The semifinal games scheduled to begin 1pm Sunday 13 December 2020 at the Park National Football Field located Opposite the Mvog Beti Market will rumble off in handball. 

According to the schedule, the first game will be a fierce tussle to pit Balikumbat to their Baligangsin opponents. The second encounter which promises to produce fireworks will be a clash between Baligham ladies and their counterparts from Baligashu.

The first football semifinal game will see Baligansin men exchange soccer lessons with Baligashu. It is a game that has been described by soccer pundits as a clash of the titans. The second encounter will be a nerve-cracking match that will pit two soccer giants, Baligham men to their rivals from Balikumbat.

In a chat with this reporter, BACHACDA President, Dela, explained that the competition was organised to serve as a unifying factor between sons and daughters of the four villages residing in Yaoundé. 

“We want our brothers and sisters to meet their kith and kin from the other villages so as to form a strong and solid community in Yaoundé, Dela stated.

He added that the competition will not only help participants to exercise themselves but give them an opportunity to build their character of tolerance, social cohesion and explore the virtues inherent in team work, corporation, and leadership.

Dela disclosed that the unifying role sports, especially football, plays in the society, served as a motivation factor to the organization of the competition alongside a cultural manifestations to enable youths of the villages compete in order to determine those who have a perfect mastery of the culture. 
He said the competition would pave the way for the imminent creation of a Relief Fund to support Academic Excellence and provide aid to those rendered internally displaced as a result of the kamikaze war rocking the two Anglophone regions for four years now. 
 
The grand closing ceremony is expected to be attended by the four Mubako Fons – Doh Gahwolubi of Baligashu, Doh Gangsin II of Baligansin, Doh Gahnyam II of Baligham and Doh Gahnyamyin II of Balikumbat. 
The Prize Award Gala is expected to take place at Fresh Planet Restaurant, Carrefour Obili, same evening. Dela has appealed to all and sundry to federate forces behind the organization team in order to give the finals the success and grandeur it deserves.
